Bay Area Junk Hauling

(415) 900-4575

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of junk do you take?
We take pretty much any type of junk from residential homes and commercial offices: furniture, appliances, garden waste, old construction materials, renovation refuse, office and chairs and desks, scrap metal, garage junk, fencing, and more. Most anything except hazardous waste.
What are your junk hauling prices?
Since we charge primarily by volume the price will depend on how much space your junk will take up in the truck. Density is also taken into consideration, so if you have construction materials like concrete, brick, tile and shingles, that will affect the price.  Any junk removal service we perform includes loading, hauling and any disposal or recycling fees. Before you can get a firm estimate we really need to see the items, so we strongly urge you to send us a photo of the stuff to be hauled away. Since we are a locally owned company we do not have franchise fees and we pass that savings on to our customers. Rest assured there will never be any hidden fees.

And no, we don’t offer any free junk removal. We do however offer a low to reasonable cost service.
What about hoarding clean ups, how much does that cost?
All hoarding site clean outs are different. There are numerous factors that can affect the estimate for the work: how extensive is the clutter stacked, are there animals, or feces or hazardous waste involved etc. Again, it all depends and is handled on a case by case basis. When you send in the form for your free junk estimate, please be sure to include a few site photos.
Do you do site clean ups before you leave?
Yes of course, we have a no mess left behind policy!
What about electronics disposal?  What do you take??
We take just about every type of office junk, including computers, monitors, printers and most other common office electronics. Home electronics we remove and recycle include used televisions, stereos and speakers, cable boxes, video cameras, computers, VCR’s, etc

Electronic waste disposal can be tricky. You can’t just throw this stuff out in the weekly trash and it can also be a pain to haul away electronic items to the local recycler on your own, especially when they are big and bulky.
Why shouldn’t I just order a Dumpster?
Dumpsters are big and heavy and unsightly and can’t be dropped off at all locations due to access or local regulations. Sometimes they end up damaging the asphalt on your driveway. Also, an ugly unsupervised dumpster in front of your house or office is an open invitation to all kinds of illegal dumping. Dumpsters often come with many hidden and extra charges. Our pricing is simple and transparent.

In the end, calling us will likely end up being easier and more cost effective.  Whereas a dumpster goes directly to landfill, we quickly sort and distribute materials that can be reused and recycled. We do all the loading, so you don’t end up accidentally hurting yourself.
What about hazardous waste?
Hazardous waste has to be taken to the nearest SF Bay Area dump and there is always an additional fee required for disposal of any hazardous materials. Please call us to discuss, we may be able to assist you with that.
Do you handle demolition work?
It depends. Light demolition projects are taken on a case by case basis. Barns and sheds are usually not a problem. Please call us to discuss or at least describe the nature and extent of your demolition project when you fill out our contact form.
Do you remove unwanted refrigerators?
Yes. Appliance removal - anything involving big bulky items - we can definitely handle that.
Just leave all that heavy lifting and loading to us.
Do you remove Hot Tubs?
Hauling away a hot tub is a commonly requested junk removal service. But DIY hot tub and jacuzzi disposal can end up being a complicated hassle. Instead, let us properly dismantle and haul away that old hot tub for you!
Do you offer same day junk hauling services?
It depends. We appreciate that there can be a sense of urgency when it comes to handling some waste removal projects. We always strive to do our best. SF Bay Area traffic patterns sometimes make scheduling it a bit tricky ... We recommend you call as soon as possible to book an appointment.
What kind of yard debris do you take?
We take pretty much all kinds of yard debris. We specialize in:
  • Old Brick Removal
  • Drywall Removal
  • Floor & Tile Removal
  • Tree Limb Removal
  • Leaf Removal
  • Garbage Removal and more ...
What about Mattresses, do you take those?
Yes we do, but be aware that ever since the bed bug scare that happened not long ago, most donation centers don’t accept them anymore.
How does junk pickup scheduling work with you guys?
When you schedule an appointment for an estimate our professional and polite crew will call you about 1/2 hour before arriving. For better results, we always suggest that you send a photo and brief description so we know what to expect.
How do you handle disposal after a junk pick up?
All junk items are disposed of in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Anything we can donate will go to our nearest charity partner or other re-use organization.  What can’t be repurposed gets a chance at being recycled.  Non recyclable items will go to the nearest San Francisco Bay Area transfer station or solid waste facility. We always try to put the least amount as possible into landfills.
